Dr. Prieto completed his Bachelor of Science Degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 1993. He then obtained his medical doctorate (MD) degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine (now known as the Miller School of Medicine) in 1997. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/ Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas in 2000. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Prieto's wife, Mildred, is an estate attorney in Melbourne, FL. They have three children, and are active members of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community. They enjoy boating, fishing, and travel.
Jose Rodriguez, APRN, joined our practice in 2021. He is an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate nurse practitioner. He obtained his APRN degree from the University of Central Florida, and has years of experience in primary care. He is the first and only nurse practitioner that Dr. Prieto has ever added to his practice! He is fluent in Spanish.
